Nedap Librix speeds-up intelligent shelves

The Intelligent Shelves of Nedap Librix are especially designed for checking in items. Whenever a lender returns his or her library item, it is automatically recognized by the Intelligent Shelf and registered as a checked-in item in your Library Management System.
Returning such an item does not take more than just placing the item on the shelf. The only problem Intelligent Shelves is the speed of checking-in items. When a shelf contains many books it takes a lot of time before the RFID reader has scanned all of them. At least, this was a problem…
To solve this problem Nedap Librix has introduced a patent-pending technology called AFI Speed-up for Intelligent Shelves. With this feature it is possible to reduce the scanning speed drastically. This way your patrons can check-in faster and you improve your service. Read more >>>
